What is counselling?
Counselling offers you a space to talk openly about what's going on in your life — to be honest about how things really are, and to begin to find a way forward.
Why do people come to counselling?
Many people come to counselling feeling stuck, overwhelmed, isolated, or unsure of themselves. It's a space to explore those feelings without pressure or judgement.
How do you work as a counsellor?
My approach is person-centred. This means I focus on building a genuine, trusting relationship where you feel safe, accepted, and understood — a space where you can be your true self. I won't tell you what to do or try to "fix" you. Instead, I'll listen carefully and share reflections, professional knowledge, and ideas that may support your understanding and growth.
What are counselling sessions like?
We work at a pace that suits you and focus on what matters most to you. Some weeks you may want to explore something specific. Other times, you might simply need space to talk and let off steam.
Together, we may explore:
What's happening in your life now
Past experiences and how they continue to affect you
Your hopes and fears for the future
Patterns you've noticed over time
How you relate to yourself and others
Ways to help you feel calmer and more grounded
