Life can feel very hard sometimes.

And finding the right person to talk to — someone who will listen without judgement and help you find a way forward — can also be really hard.

Through online counselling, I offer a safe, confidential space where you can bring whatever is affecting you — without having to worry about being a burden or managing anyone else's feelings.

Together, we can make sense of what’s happening and help you feel calmer, more confident and more able to cope.

Online therapy for young people and parents of neurodivergent children

Does this sound like you?

I work with adults across a wide range of issues, though two groups find their way to me most often.

Parents of neurodivergent children

Perhaps you’re a parent feeling exhausted by the emotional demands of supporting a child with additional needs — navigating school anxiety, dysregulation, masking, and the constant pressure of holding everything together, often while feeling judged or unheard yourself.

Young people aged 16+

Or maybe you're a young person overwhelmed by anxiety, identity, relationships, or life changes — and wondering where you can actually be honest about how you're feeling

If either of those sound like you, then you’re in the right place.

Catriona Ross, BACP registered counsellor

A little about me

I'm Catriona, a BACP-registered counsellor with nearly 20 years of experience working with young adults and parents across NHS, education, community, and private practice settings.

Much of my career has been spent with people who have felt overlooked, misunderstood, or excluded — and that shapes everything about how I work.

I'm committed to an approach that is inclusive, neuro-affirming, and anti-oppressive.

I'm proud to be from South London, and I remain committed to supporting young people in my local community alongside my private practice.

People who have worked with me often say they feel calmer, more confident, more self-aware, better able to cope — and more like themselves again.

Qualifications and professional registration

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their Ethical Framework. You can find my BACP profile here: https://www.bacp.co.uk/therapists/164139/catriona-ross/sutton-sm1?search=catriona%20ross

I am also a registered play therapist with the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT).
